Finally, after five years of interruption, my inner gasoline head woke up from a deep sleep and was awakened by a watch! For people of any age and older, the monochromatic appearance of these matt black stepped dials has obvious inspiration, inspired by any Jag Smiths dashboard in the middle of the last century, especially E-type sports cars and coupes. They are finished in satin black gray with a clear white print for markings and Arabic numerals. You don’t even have to bother to admire the inherent details, but for some of us, they will remind you of the time when freedom was once a classic roadster road trip. From the small black cup in the middle of the hand to the clear nod of the Jaguar RPM counter on the cash register at 9 o’clock, all the clues are here, there is no way to follow. Instead, the keen drawing skills of the Bremont design team put forward purely athletic intent.
The purpose of the monochromatic dial is calm, offset by the thick RPM red line marking at 9 o’clock, while the date remains at 6 o’clock. The second hand of the lollipop has fresh red and white tones, and the cool gray and dark green of the aluminum bezel and the tension band are available, which makes it difficult to choose between the two. The bent and beveled lugs are muscular, and yes, you can even understand the cat-like posture of the Jaguar E-Type in purposeful details. The chronograph button is ergonomic, and the almost whole crown has the familiar tread pattern of Dunlop racing tires.
On the back of the sapphire crystal case, we have a drilled spoked Jaguar steering wheel as the rotor, slowly rotating to reveal the various parts of the modified Calibre BE-50AE, which is a bulletproof automatic Glucydur balance with a 42-hour power reserve. These two new Bremont chronographs are also part of the special packaging.
