Jacob & Co. Astronomia Triple-Axis Gravity Tourbillon

Jacob & Co. Astronomia Triple Axis Gravitational Tourbillon – is a watch with a stunning panorama of the starry sky and a three-axis tourbillon. In 2014, the brand launched the Astronomia Tourbillon watch equipped with a three-axis tourbillon. This year, in the chronometer combination, it was decided to add a three-dimensional display of sidereal time, which is a side-by-side star map and day/night indicator. Astronomia Sky, designed in the form of a starry sky dial, completes a revolution at an interval equivalent to a sidereal year (a sidereal year—the time it takes for the Earth to go around the sun relative to the stars). In fact, it is the “sky” made of grade 5 blue titanium, adorned with 18-carat white gold stars and engraved with the hands of the zodiac.

Just below the dial is an indicator, a map of the northern hemisphere sky. This sub-dial completes a revolution in an interval equal to a sidereal day (the time it takes the Earth to rotate once on its axis – approximately 23.560916 hours).

The dial adopts a closed glass hemisphere, and all the details under it can be regarded as a modular design. At the center of the structure is set a hand-carved spherical painted titanium. Protected by a tinted domed sapphire crystal, the sphere rotates on its own axis, symbolizing day and night. The spin rate of the ball – one revolution every 20 minutes.

With the same speed and a modular design that turns itself, at one end is a three-axis tourbillon. The speed of rotation of the tourbillon on the different axes is as follows: 60 seconds 5 minutes around the first axis – about 20 minutes, the second – about a third. discount fake watch

In the upper half of the composition space is a small dial with hour and minute indications. Thanks to the differential system, the hour indexes are always aligned vertically, allowing you to read the hours exactly clockwise in the usual user direction.

Earth’s third “partner” in an unusual hour ensemble becomes the orbital lightsecond – a skeletonized titanium wheel that rotates once on its axis in 60 seconds. The fourth satellite – orange sapphire facet «Jacob Cut», sparkling facet 288, also rotates around its axis in 60 seconds and the dial in 20 minutes, respectively.

Through this miraculous micromechanical management, a special ring is mounted on the back of the timepiece. The first ring is used to set the time and display day/night, and the second ring is used to keep the mechanism running. Sidereal time can be customized and the map view of the starry sky can be adjusted via the gears also located on the back of the model.

Since all functions of this watch work in harmony, it is equipped with a hand-wound manufacturer’s caliber JCAM11. The 40mm mechanism is composed of 395 titanium parts, assembled on 42 jewels, and has a balance frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour , with a power reserve of 60 hours.

The case Astronomia Sky is made of 18 carat rose gold and has a diameter of 47 mm. The face of the case is a closed domed sapphire crystal. The back of the watch is also made of beautiful rose gold. Waterproof case – 30 meters. The watch should be worn on an alligator leather strap with a rose gold deployant clasp.
