Breitling Endurance Pro Quartz 44mm Review
Rugged watches are what watchmakers like Breitling expect. What will happen when it has been achieved? How do you push the well-known limits on heavy watches?
What Breitling did was similar to the automotive industry, which began to use newer, more innovative materials to increase or maintain the same strength while reducing weight. Enter the new proprietary Breitlight chassis. The lightweight watch case made of ultra-light polymer is not only resistant to scratches, but also resistant to traction and corrosion. How bright is this situation? Compared with stainless steel, it is three times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter. It is also hypoallergenic and thermally stable, so it will not overheat or freeze the wrist like a metal case during temperature changes, and it is also diamagnetic.
The newest member of the Breitling professional watch series is the Breitling Endurance Pro Quartz. It has a 44mm brand new Breitlight dedicated case bezel and smooth beveled lugs with a width of 22mm. The sturdy back cover is fixed by four steel screws, and the’Endurance Pro’ logo is engraved in the center of the back cover with a strikethrough effect.
Although this watch does provide a waterproof rating of 100 meters (10 bar or 330 feet), it does not come with a screw-in crown, so please do not use it in any deep-sea diving. As long as it is only in cold water, it can be used at most for some snorkeling, swimming or showering.
Quartz chronograph. The quartz movement is definitely more accurate than any mechanical movement, but like the quartz movement in the new series, it is indeed very good that it has obtained the COSC certification.
Endurance Pro also has some interesting aspects. Up to now, there are 5 models in the series, equipped with Diver Pro straps. The comfortable sporty rubber strap comes in one of five colors, including white, navy blue, bright red, competitive yellow and bright orange. Each Diver Pro rubber strap is engraved with the Breitling wordmark and is equipped with a pin buckle.
Each color change is the same as the matching color used on the minute track, outlined on the large numbers used for the 3, 6 and 9 o’clock markers, and a ribbon is displayed on the crown and top chronograph button. In addition, the dial flanges have the same matching color. You can measure your heart rate because it has a white or black pulsimeter scale printed on it, depending on the model.
The black dial uses luminous hour markers and numerals. The hour and minute hands with partial skeletons are made of polished steel and are filled with Super-LumiNova, a filler that glows in the dark.
The black recessed subdial is used for the small seconds at 6 o’clock on the dial and the chronographs on the left and right sides of the dial. The chronograph subdial uses a stainless steel hand with a red tip and a stopwatch second hand with a large red central second hand. The hands of the small seconds subdial are filled with luminous material. The indexes and numbers on all sub-dials are beautifully printed in white light sans-serif fonts.
The winged Breitling logo is affixed with white lettering at 12 o’clock, and the lettering and year are marked below. The brand series can be found in the lower left quadrant of the dial. All covers are printed with the words “ENDURANCE” and framed by a thin white rectangular frame. On the opposite side of the series name between 3 and 4 on the right side of the dial, all capital letters CHRONOMETER are printed in white. A small date window can be found below the position between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock.
The white compass scale is engraved on the bidirectional rotating bezel. The north, south, east and west marks on the bezel use bold fonts. Use a slightly smaller font for the Arabic numerals and index separators used in 30-degree increments.
The Breitling 82 movement equipped with this watch is a thermally compensated super quartz certified by COSC. The battery-powered watch movement is indeed a legend. According to Breitling, its accuracy is about ten times that of a standard quartz movement. vintage watches for sale
