The FF39-40 is BRM’s most technically ambitious current model. It is the first automatic watch protected against both horizontal and vertical shocks, achieved through a “floating movement” suspended by five ribbed silent blocks, each 1.2 mm thick. The drilled and balanced cylinder of the movement optimises spring power and delivers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. The case is an unusual isosceles trapezium shape with rounded corners — a deliberate departure from conventional round or tonneau forms — with a brushed surface and black PVD bezel treatment.
At the other end of the spectrum sits the V6 Moon Master, which represents BRM’s approach to traditional horological artistry. Beneath a genuine mother-of-pearl dial lies a fully hand-skeletonised EV42 automatic movement, with every bridge carefully lightened to reduce structure while preserving robustness. The polished bronze case develops a natural patina over time, making each piece unique, while the bezel is treated with blue ceramic for scratch resistance. BRM’s hands are among the most recognisable in the industry. The brand paints them in signature colours — light blue, for instance, on the MK-44 — and the smaller subdial hands are scaled-down versions of the main hands, a detail that reflects genuine design discipline rather than afterthought.
The MK-44 Polished White Dial, meanwhile, demonstrates the brand’s material experimentation. Most of the case is produced from transparent Makrolon, a high-end polycarbonate used in racing applications such as headlight housings. It is tougher than standard plastic, as transparent as glass and will not shatter — a genuinely impact-resistant case material. Combined with titanium components, the total weight of the 44 mm watch is just 48.8 grams.
BRM is not for everyone. The watches are loud, colourful and unapologetically niche – .
