Hublot Ceramic Color Range Adds Orange Tone
The Hublot Big Bang Collection, launched in 2005, has become iconic for the brand. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, while the micro-blasted black ceramic case back also has a sapphire crystal, allowing you to see the inner workings of the watch. The polished round bezel is decorated with the iconic 6 black-plated titanium H-shaped screws.
The hands and hour markers on the skeletonized dial are orange or green and are coated with black Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility. It features a column wheel at 6 o’clock and a date wheel that wraps around the dial below the floating numerals and two subdials. The small seconds dial is at 9 o’clock, while the 60-minute counter is at 3 o’clock with an integrated date window.
The watch is powered by the MHUB1280 calibre, an in-house automatic flyback chronograph movement with column wheel mechanism. It runs at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 72-hour power reserve. The black-plated skeletonised tungsten rotor is visible through the caseback. The watch is presented on a black and orange, or black and dark green rubber strap with embossed stripes and a black ceramic and titanium deployant buckle.
