New York-based jeweler and watchmaker Jacob & Co, founded by billionaire Jacob Arabo, unveiled a new watch for Bugatti last spring as part of a multiyear partnership between the two companies.

This cutting-edge accessory is inspired by the Bugatti Chiron, the fastest and most powerful supercar in the history of the luxury automaker.

It can go from zero to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and has a top speed of 261 mph.

Meet Jacob & Co’s new Bugatti watch: a tiny ‘engine’ on your wrist
What makes this Jacob & Co timepiece stand out is that it is based on the Chiron engine, a groundbreaking design that took nearly a year for craftsmen in Geneva to complete.

Inspired by the Chiron’s streamlined design, the watch case features a horseshoe grille, while the movement, housed beneath a sapphire crystal face, mimics its 16-cylinder engine.

If you press the crown on the right side of the watch, the tiny “motor” starts up, turning the crankshaft and pumping up and down 16 pistons, just like a real-life internal combustion engine.

Two “turbochargers” (four in the actual Chiron engine) spin on the side of the engine block while the engine is running, adding an extra wow factor.

Another car-themed detail is the fact that the entire mechanism is suspended on four mini shock absorbers, which allow it to move up and down inside the case. online copy watches

The complex movement consists of 578 parts.

According to Jacob & Co, the fully customizable Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon “does something that has never been attempted before – the seamless integration of an engine and a watch”.

The new tourbillon is available in a variety of colors, including deep black titanium and rose gold cases. It can also be upgraded to include dazzling diamond or sapphire details. Comes with a rubber strap and titanium buckle.

Bugatti’s watchmaking history
This isn’t the first time Bugatti has teamed up with a watchmaker.

It has a long-term cooperative relationship with Swiss luxury brand Parmigiani Fleurier.

In 2006, Parmigiani Fleurier produced the Bugatti Type 370 inspired by the Bugatti Veyron super sports car. In 2009, it released a new tourbillon dedicated to the Bugatti Galibier 16C, and a few years later, the Type 390, also based on the Chiron.

Recently, Bugatti teamed up with Vita to release a series of stylish smartwatches.

But back to the beginning, Swiss watchmaker Mido produced dozens of timepieces for Bugatti between the mid-1920s and mid-1930s. These pieces are notable for their golden case shaped like the iconic radiator grille on the famous car. They were specially ordered by Ettore Bugatti and then gifted to his best pilots, mechanics and family members. https://www.chronowrist.ru
