Franck Muller has just launched the new Vanguard (reference V45SCDT), a dynamic and stylish timepiece featuring a brushed black dial featuring aggressively appliquéd embossed numerals with a polished and brushed finish.
The hour and minute hands are skeletonized and treated with Super-LumiNova, and the red pointed second hand adds a pop of color. Red detailing is also used for the minute scale as well as the NE, NW, SE and SW midpoints on the rehaut and the cardinal directions, in this case just a styling element, not a functional one.
The iconic Curvex case is available in stainless steel, titanium or red gold. Vanguard measures 44mm wide, 53.70mm long and 12.80mm high.
The large winding crown has three positions, the middle position allowing adjustment of the date displayed on the circular aperture at 6 o’clock.
The cheap Franck Muller Vanguard is powered by the Calibre FM 0800, an automatic movement that beats 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 42-hour power reserve.
Unlike regular spring bar technology, the alligator strap with rubber inside is smoothly integrated into the case using two invisible screws.
