About Franck Muller Vanguard Casablanca

Inspired by the famous 1942 film Casablanca, Franck Muller conceived the Contrée Curvex Casablanca in 1998, celebrating all the glamour of Hollywood cinema of that era.

Today, 24 years later, Franck Muller presents a new “Casablanca” with a fresh look, now wearing a hand-polished Vanguard stainless steel case, ditching the previous Cintrée Curvex case, which features a prominent Its more modern look stands out with its generous bezels and hidden lugs.

The new Vanguard Casablanca is therefore available in four variants, one with a brown dial, another with a salmon-coloured dial, and two in black, the one with blue numerals, exclusive to the brand’s boutique. On the dial, the inner bezel with compass scale, the black and salmon-coloured dials are filled with Super-LumiNova hand-applied numerals, and the skeletonized hands at 6 o’clock are also filled with luminous and a circular date window.

The Vanguard Casablanca is powered by the MVT FM 800-DT automatic movement, which runs at 28,800 Vph and provides a power reserve of up to 42 hours.

The watch comes with a hand-stitched alligator strap in the same colour as the dial numbers.

These watches are available in a classic time and date version and a chronograph version, both of which are available in two different sizes, 41mm (V41) and 42.5mm (V43) wide.

Franck Muller x BWD Crazy Hours Snoopy

We’ve talked a number of times here about many different brands collaborating with George Bamford and I must admit that in general I get very excited every time I hear about a new collaboration, maybe because of the many animated cartoon characters that remind me of My childhood, which I can proudly say today, belonged to that generation, which included Snoopy, Popeye, The Muppets, Tintin, Tom Sawyer, and many other characters were part of my world, which I still love today, make me smile.

The latest collaboration with the Bamford Watch Department is with the famous Swiss brand Franck Muller, if at first glance the central character of the watch is Snoopy, it already gives us a big smile, the chaotic arrangement of time makes us smile even more Happily, the minute and hour hands shape Snoopy’s claws, and the hour hand moves “in a mess” and it’s no accident that this watch is called Crazy Hours Snoopy.

But the surprises don’t stop there, in fact, the biggest spectacle is even reserved for the night, when the entire dial is illuminated by the iconic concentric circle pattern around Snoopy, which is filled with the green-hued lining Super LumiNova, which contrasts with the dial’s black and Matte black of the case. discount luxury watch

The watch features a 39.6mm diameter, 11.8mm thick Cintree Curvex stainless steel case, sapphire glass, solid case back and 300m water resistance. As already mentioned, the dial, in addition to the concentric circle pattern surrounding Snoopy, features its main friend Woodstock doubles at 10 and 9 o’clock, with Arabic numerals at the end. Inside, the Franck Muller Crazy Hours self-winding movement operates to provide a power reserve of up to 42 hours and is equipped with a jumping hour function that keeps the hour hand moving out of sequence, forcing us to concentrate on reading real time as it is very Present yourself in a regular way. The watch comes with a black fabric strap that complements the dark tone of its case.

The Franck Muller x BWD Crazy Hours Snoopy is limited to 25 pieces and is delivered in a single black box with a Crazy Hours design in different shades on the lid, with Snoopy and Woodstock figures painted in different dots. Box, inside and out.
