Graham Chronofighter Steel Target – A bold chronograph inspired by aviation

Deliberately bold, big, masculine, with strong aviation inspiration.

If you have been looking for a bold, aviation-inspired chronograph that can leave a clear impression on your wrist, we might just have this watch for you. fake Graham Chronofighter Target is bigger than life and has many beautiful touches that really attract the eye. Masculine, modern and still has the iconic elements of the brand, but without the retro feel of other series. We recently took some time to experience the Chronofighter Steel Target for yourself. This is our idea.

There is no doubt that returning to a smaller case size now seems to be the mainstream trend, which makes us very happy at MONOCHROME. Having said that, Graham has always been known for its larger case, together with the unique start/stop trigger, which is the brand’s hallmark. Of course, they are not for everyone, but Graham knows its customers well and knows what they like. As the saying goes, it’s not bad, why repair?

Chronofighter Steel Target follows the same formula very much, and has made some subtle adjustments to create a watch that is both interesting and useful. It uses a 47 mm steel case, with a black carbon quick start/stop trigger on the left side of the case, and black rubber on the top of the steel reset button to provide extra grip. The rubber is decorated with the “Clous de Paris” pattern, giving it extra personality.

As with all Graham Chronofighter models, the crown and chronograph button/trigger are located on the left side of the case. This is unusual for a best watch intended to be worn on the left wrist, but in practice it feels more natural and easier to activate the trigger with the right thumb. I think this is particularly useful for fighter pilots wearing heavy gloves, although I cannot say that I have tested this theory. From a daily point of view, you don’t have to worry about the crown or buttons getting into your body every time you bend your wrist, which is great.

However, what really catches the eye is the gray smoked dial, which is surrounded by a black ceramic bezel and decorated with contrasting white Super-LumiNova digital hour markers. Although it can be seen through the dial, the time display is still very clear, which is not always as easy as it sounds. The hours and minutes are centrally displayed by large hands filled with white Super-LumiNova luminous material, and there is also a central chronograph second hand with a red tip. The running seconds are displayed on the subdial at 3 o’clock, and the elapsed minutes are at 6 o’clock. Completing the dial is the display of the day and date at 9 o’clock.

Turn the watch over and you can see the G1747 movement, partially visible through the smoked sapphire crystal case back. This automatic chronograph is based on Valjoux 7750, is equipped with Incabloc shock absorbers and beats at a frequency of 4 Hz to provide maximum. After being fully wound, it provides a 48-hour power reserve. The case has a rated water resistance of 330 feet and is equipped with a black calfskin quilted leather strap with a steel pin buckle.
