Jacob & Co cooperates with Soccer Star to launch limited edition watches
American jewelry brand Jacob & Co collaborated with former Portuguese football star Luis Figo to create three limited edition watches.
These watches were unveiled for the first time at the 2018 Baselworld (Baselworld), based on Jacob & Co’s Epic X Chrono watches, and are mechanically identical to standard watches.
This makes the personalization of the watch relatively simple, and the former Real Madrid and Barcelona football players have added a lot of personality to the existing design.
Jacob Arable said: “We can make special elements for the special edition, such as the special number 10 and the color of the case and strap, which is personal to me.”
The Epic X Chrono Luis Figo watch is characterized by Figo’s name and his signature engraved on the back of the case, as well as the red jersey number “10” on the dial.
The case has a diameter of 47 mm and is equipped with an exclusive Jacob & Co. JCAA05 hollow automatic chronograph movement, which provides a 48-hour power reserve. All three versions of the watch are equipped with black rubber wristbands.

Jacob and the astronomer
Some of the most iconic fashion men watches are unequal, as is the case with Astronomia by Jacob & Co. It was launched in 2014, but soon became one of the iconic models of the brand. This is not surprising, because it proved to be the perfect canvas for the brand to unleash its unlimited creativity. Therefore, since its launch, many different versions of astronomy have been launched, and Jacob & Co shows no signs of slowing down.

One is for winding watches, the other is for setting the time. The original astronomy had a diameter of 50 mm, and later versions have a smaller diameter. However, astronomy is not a watch that should be judged by its size, because it works well and its relatively short lugs make it comfortable to wear even for people with smaller wrists.
Although they provide an impressive range of watches, Jacob & Co is a star jeweler. The setting of astronomy provides them with plenty of space to use their skills in the field, and there are many versions with watch gems. The astronomical rainbow, whose rectangular-cut sapphire background is almost every color known to man, is a good example. This also shows that the movement can highlight the unique “Jacob cut” like anything else. This is a special cut developed by Jacob & Co. The diamond has 288 facets. By placing it on an axis, it will constantly move and capture light, showing the flame and flicker that this cut awakens in the diamond.
One thing that Jacob & Co is outstanding is that although they have created excellent and complex movements, they have not taken it too seriously. Which version of this watch has a lifelike spider, octopus or mythical dragon in the middle? By cleverly using the available space, they can interweave these creatures with the movement, thus making this unique watch more possibilities. Even with these ideas, every detail of Jacob&Co is very important. The hair of the spider web is also carefully made with duck feathers to obtain the most realistic effect.
